Eclipse

RVKAH (born Rebecca Jean Moritz) was born to sing. With a heritage of actors and musicians going back to Vaudeville, she was destined for the stage.  Her musical interest began at the tender age of 18 months, singing tunes and lyrics before she could even form sentences. At the age of five, she performed in a talent show in front of over 500 people. The thrill of performing and the response from the audience sparked her ambition to make singing a lifelong career.

Born in Florida, she lived the first 10 years of her life there, then moved overseas. Rebecca spent eight years, attending the American International School in Israel, where she made friends from all over the world. Her international experience taught her that it is possible for different cultures, nationalities, races and religions to work together, learn, and appreciate life as one “family”.  This experience was the catalyst to her promotion of peace through her award winning songs:  Her first recording “All Men Are Created Equal” was honored by the
‘VH1 Song of the Year’ judges and also received Honorable Mention from the ‘Peacedriven Songwriting Award’ committee; “Angels in Jerusalem” received honors from the ‘Unisong International Songwriting Contest’; “Hope” is a song promoting the research for cures of life threatening diseases; “60 Years” was a single released celebrating the 60th anniversary of Israel. and she performed these songs in a parade down 5th Ave in New York City.  In addition to her awards, Rebecca received encouraging letters of commendation from United States President Barack Obama, former U.S. President, George W. Bush; former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon and many other countries’ ambassadors for her distribution of her songs of peace worldwide.

RVKAH recorded her debut album “Picture Me” at the age of 13.  The album contains five award winning songs:  The title song won first place in the VH1 ‘Song of the Year’ contest in 2005; two other songs, “Your Love Is Like A Knife” and “Nu” were awarded as ‘finalist’ among thousands of entries by VH1 judges; “Let Your Fire Take Me” received the ‘Director’s Award’ from Paramount Group in Nashville, during March 2006; and she was selected as a ‘Gold Artist’ by RadioIndy.com.

Returning to the U.S. after high school, she spent a year in New York City, during which time she traveled and continued performing and recording overseas.  “Happy New Year” was released in January, 2009 and "Christmas in New York” was released in November 2010, by which time she had moved to Boston to earn a degree in Performance and Music Business at Berklee College of Music.  Rebecca released her sophomore CD,  entitled simply, “Rebecca” in 2010.  Singles from the album, “Another Story” and “Never Ever” were released to radio stations in the United Kingdom in May 2009 and aired on BBC1 radio.
Rebecca released three music videos, which aired on MTV-Europe: "Summer Without You" from her debut CD and "Times" and "Wait for Me" from her sophomore album.

Currently in the studio (working virtually during the current global situation), Rebecca has re-branded her social media as RVKAH and is promoting, rehearsing, creating new songs and preparing for great things to come.

Appearances:
Rebecca was a guest performer on Music Television Channel 24, Nickelodeon, as well as Channel 1 and Channel 10 in Israel.  She has also been a guest on Reshet Bet – Kol Israel Radio Station, was a guest performer on 5th Avenue in a New York City Parade and performed as one of the 30 finalists from around the world in the Hallelujah Global Singing Contest in Israel.
